52 Days And Counting

Have you ever been anxiously waiting for something to happen? Something you accomplished culminating into one moment of your life. And isn’t it annoying to have to wait?

Well, that’s where I am at in my life.

I’m about to graduate from college with a Master’s degree in Creative Writing and I really don’t know what to do with myself. I have worked so hard to get to this point. I literally have 2 classes left and I get to walk at the ceremony in June. Amazing, right?

I cannot wait to get to the ceremony and actually complete my studies. Maybe someday soon I’ll even have a novel out!

Cleaning Up Is Hard To Do

Is there anyone in this world that actually likes to clean? I mean, there must be people who enjoy it, but for me I hate having to clean. Now once the job is done and everything is looking all spiffy, it’s a beautiful feeling, but getting to that point sucks.

It’s cleaning week here in the “Jones” household. Once a month, we go room to room deep cleaning each room of the house. Yesterday was the living room and you wouldn’t believe the dust bunnies we found. But today was my bedroom cleaning day.

I should have started hours ago, but I just can’t find the motivation to get to it. There is clean laundry piled in a basket waiting to be folded and put away, a bunch of junk from the past week accumulated onto the floor that needs to be organized, and even a bit a vacuuming that could be done.

But, you know what? I really don’t feel like doing it. Now, I know some of you are going to tell me to “suck it up” or “quit being a baby” but its more than that. I feel like sometimes all I do is the same stuff over and over again.

I think it’s a bit of melancholia setting in. Luckily, I get a break at the end of June from my somewhat boring life. I’m going on vacation. If I can ever get my room cleaned…

The Journey Begins

Hello Readers!

Thank you for joining me on what I hope will be an amazing journey. As the great Albus Dumbledore would say, “Words are, in my not so humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic, capable of both inflicting injury and remedying it.” In truth, I really am a writer just trying to make it any way I can in this crazy world of ours. Maybe I can inspire some of you to pick up the pen (or hit the keys on a keyboard). Perhaps some of you will grow to hate me. Either way, I hope you keep reading. writer-605764_640
